Amaoncare was born in Brazil in 2018, founded by Amanda Freitas, a passionate veterinarian with over 16 years of clinical experience and more than 20 years dedicated to animal care. Amanda’s journey began even before her veterinary degree — working in pet grooming — where she developed a deep, hands-on understanding of every aspect of pet wellness.

Specializing in veterinary surgery and anesthesia, Amanda built Amaoncare with one clear mission: to offer humanized, high-quality, and comprehensive care for pets — treating them as true family members.

 

The original 24-hour hospital in Brazil quickly became a trusted reference in the community, offering a full range of services, from emergency care and surgery to grooming, hospitalization, and wellness treatments.

Driven by a bold vision of growth and innovation, Amanda and her family made the life-changing decision to move to the United States. Their goal? To improve their English, explore the global pet industry, and take Amaoncare to the next level. This journey has led to the opening of Amaoncare’s second unit in St. Cloud, in the Orlando, Florida area, focused on grooming and pet shop services — while Amanda works toward validating her veterinary credentials in the U.S.

Today, Amanda leads a passionate, multidisciplinary team — veterinarians, nurses, trainees, and groomers — all united by a shared belief: pets deserve to be cared for with excellence, empathy, and love.
